Any patchbay with a steel faceplate should be compatible, but I have only tested with Samson's S-Patch.
Any standard dry-erase whiteboard marker works well. Fine-tip markers give the cleanest results for labeling individual ports. Permanent markers are... permanent, but they do write on the label material when you're ready to commit.
The magnets are low-strength and designed for light steel panels. They pose no risk to hard drives, tapes, or other equipment when used as intended on the S-Patch faceplate.
Each set includes labels for all port rows on the S-Patch faceplate.
